DO NOT USE WELLS FARGO

Credit Karma member

Wells fargo is the worst lender when it comes to fees and customer service. As someonw who personally wrks in the financial industry i can attest that wells fargo is unethical and just plain rude when it comes to how they treat their customers. Be prepared to be blindsided by fees during the end of your loan and the nightmare that is the payoff waiting period. I would suggest using any other lender or holding off on that loan until you are approved by a more reputable and honest company.

Treat Loyal Customers like Trash

Have had my loan for several years (only 2 years left), never missed or late on a payment. I called to ask for a deferment. Was told you can have three in the lifetime of the loan, they must be one year apart and that I qualify. Never asked for one before. Was transferred to finance department where they hassled me on the reason. Gave several legitimate reasons and was told no for all of them. I see other reviews saying same thing, one even said she has CANCER and was going to be out of work!! Why bother offering something to make "it sound good" and then not honor it. A lot of other banks don't even ask a reason!! Know several people who have deferred a pymt more than once, no problem from their bank. What a joke! I will never finance another car through from them. They don't care about their loyal paying customers.

Good Financing Lender

I purchased a new vehicle in January of 2019. I was approved for financing through WFDS. I have good credit and received a decent interest rate. The online payment service website was easy to set up and navigate. I had no problems making payments. I decided to pay off my loan early to save money in interest. I paid the loan off online on July 29, 2019. WFDS mailed me a payment in full letter on August 4, 2019. I received my title via USPS mail from my state's DMV today, August 15, 2019. I have no complaints. I had enough money to pay the vehicle in full in January, but I wanted a new installment loan to show on my credit report for at least a short time. I never had the need to contact customer service. I received no harassing phone calls. In my experience, WFDS was an easy and efficient process.

Absolutely Terrible Customer Service

I have a lemon suv that I'm current on payments with. I'd like them to allow it to be salvaged while I continue payments. Wells Fargo tells me the option is to have it repossessed. Now they refuse to pick it up and I can't have it salvaged due to the loan. They have the poorest of customer service, simply telling me "its up to discretion what to do with the vehicle." What are my options?! Exactly. I will be telling everyone to avoid banking with them. Absolutely terrible, they obviously don't care about their customers and retaining them, hope you enjoyed the last payment cause that's all you'll get at this point.

Horrible

Worst bank I have even dealt with. I've had issues every step of the way - including title issues, over charges on interest and more. Stay far away from these idiots. I'm refinancing and getting away from the ASAP.

Denied due to "phone number too new"

Credit Karma member

Applied through a dealership recommendation - I shoulve read the reviews before. WFDS called me directly after submitting my app for more info, but was unable to verify my identity by texting me a code (the "only" way they can verify) because get this - my phone number is less than 6 months old. 5 months ive had it, same number reflected both my credit report and credit app, but not 6 months.. absurd. Many hours later and a few convinient "supervisor just stepped out" on the phone still no explanation or solution, and a waste of a hard inquiry and much unneeded stress. Take a look at the other reviews - they speak for themselves.

Denied due to new phone number?!

Applied through a dealership, however when WFDS called me directly for more info, they said they were unable to text to my number to verify my identity (they "only" way they can verify identity they said) because: the phone number is less than 6 months old. Same phone number as on my app, same phone number on my actual credit report. Had it for 5 months, but not 6... absolutely absurd. Waste of a hard inquiry and investigating further to see if this is even legal to deny an app for. Just look at all the other reviews, they speak for themselves.

Garbage. 1 Star reviews across the board

Credit Karma member

Look at the reviews for this company. You must have to work hard to get 1 star out of 218 reviews on Consumer Affairs. Disgustingly rude callers and gross incompetence, dont ever miss a payment by a few days if you dont want some work from home trash calling you saying your account is in collections for an oversight thats fixed in 10 mins.

Useless. Dont expect any service.

Dont set up automatic payments. Should something happen and these clowns dont get paid, they'll send it to collections before letting you know something is wrong. -37 points on my credit score because they couldn't pick up the phone, and supposedly mailed warnings I never received. Never again.
